I've been teaching at least two music-centric history courses for the past six semesters, and at a certain point you start to recognize the same scenes play out over the course of decades. Today I had the pleasure of discussing how music intersects with activism in our current fight against injustice. The discussion was initiated and moderated by Hunter Mellon Fellow Jalen Grandchamps and included members of the Hunter College Music department.
